Biography short facts

Born in Croatia in 1994, Tamara Ivaniš began her singing studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna at the age of 17, graduating with excellence in January 2016 under the tutelage of Professor Karlheinz Hanser. Tamara has won several prizes in international competitions, such as: Ferruccio Tagliavini Competition – 3rd prize, Hilde Zadek Competition – 3rd prize, Niko Dostal – 1st prize, etc. She has performed several roles in the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn in Vienna, such as: Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro”- W.A. Mozart), Zerlina (“Don Giovanni”- W.A. Mozart), Lauretta (“Gianni Schicchi”- G. Puccini), and Queen of the Night (“The Magic Flute”- W.A. Mozart). Tamara took part in a master class taught by Ioan Holender, Krassimira Stoyanova and Brigitte Fassbänder and was invited to record the aria “Chi il bel sogno” for the movie soundtrack “Superwelt” (Karl Markovic). In September 2015, Tamara made her debut as Flaminia (“Il Mondo della luna”- Joseph Haydn) at the Salzburger Landestheater (Salzburg State Theatre). From 2016 – 2018, she was a member of the International Opera Studio Gerard Mortier” at the Salzburger Landestheater, performing such roles as Taumännchen (Hänsel und Gretel”– E. Humperdinck), Ilia (Idomeneo”- W.A.Mozart), Olympia (The Tales of Hoffmann”- J. Offenbach) and the Spring Voice Waltz at the New Years Eve concert under Massimo Zanetti at the Great Festival Hall in Salzburg. From 2018 – 2020, Tamara has been a member of the Ensemble of the Salzburger Landestheater, where she sang Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro”- W.A.Mozart), Pepi (Wiener Blut”- J. Strauss), and Lisetta (La Gazzetta”- G. Rossini), among others. In November 2019, she made her debut at the Stuttgarter Staatsoper in the role of Frau Silberklang in “Der Schauspieldirektor” by W. A. Mozart.
